Was a bear cub. I was leaving my spot and noticed something swimming towards me in the lake. Got about 100 yards away from me and I gave him a loud "hey bear!!!". He looked up and panted a few times and then turned around and swam the opposite direction.. probably would have came on shore ...

Cool. Ill be in willow creek but willing to travel. My buddy has a spot directly on the mad river. Not sure if it will be poppin then but the trinity and Klamath should be for sure. Keep me posted!

Anything worth fishing this time of year? I will be there all summer. The klamath and trin are on my agenda. surf/tide pool cutties! I've been looking it up and it seems like later in the summer is when t starts to pick up. Any insider knowledge is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It's been advertised heavily recently but kamchatka looks like a good spot.
Big canadian brookies have always been another reason for my existance. Some day hopefully..

Poppers!!! Fished donner lake a couple nights ago for the first time ever and went 2 for 3 on lakers. Chukin a size 8 chart and white clouser.. First time ever using sinking line too...
