Re: Trying out the upload button already on the forum

Gonna try it out. It will work if the file size is correct. This is the message I got when I tried. My files and images are all original size. The image must be at least 0 pixels wide, 0 pixels high and at most 800 pixels wide and 600 pixels high. The submitted image is 5616 pixels wide and 3744 pix...

Re: Photobucket changes

Just a thought that could be beneficial for those that need to have lots of images uploaded on the web. This is what I have been thinking. Get a group of guys all get together with one email address. Open a paid account on flickr and everyone who post on fly fishing addicts who contributes into the ...

Re: Braided line.

I tried using braid for deep water midge fishing with a slip indicator. Although I was unsuccessful at catching anything on two half days of fishing on Crowley. I doubt it was my rig setup as others had the same results of not one bite or tug. I will try again in the Fall. Last week the water temps ...

Re: Photobucket changes

Same thing happening on other sites. Lots of upset people.
I do believe flickr still has a free account. Not sure how it works though. I have a pro account and pay. I have thousands of images on flickr, been on since 2006.

Re: DIY Fly Rod Mount

Update on the rod holder, it worked out great! Drove up to 80 miles an hour with no issues. Long uneven bumpy dirt roads, performed flawlessly.

They will likely be flexing on bumpy uneven dirt roads, but not bouncing. The rear window on the snug top is open and up in the image. When the rods do flex a bit, they should be fine and not hit any part of the top of snug top.

You are the second person who said they use ski rack/snow board rack, another guy on the SCSF site does as well. That's definitely something to consider if I could place it on the edge like I have this set up.

Re: DIY Fly Rod Mount

That's great Jim. I wish more people would post up some ideas. Lots of ideas on pvc and magnets for mounts as well on the web. A simple idea could save someone lots of money. My truck already had the racks so it was just working with what I already had. I could likely use some tweaking on my mount, ...

DIY Fly Rod Mount

Well I have been eyeing one of those cool fly rod holder mounts. You know the one the guides use mounted on the hood and roof top of the cars or trucks. I just could not pull the trigger on the Sumo Rod Mount . So I decide, hey I could build my own. Do It Yourself. Seems simple enough. Well I didn't...

Re: Deeper Smart Sonar Pro+

On the cell phone, the guy has a waterproof clear pouch. Plus he has a small battery pak to recharge his cell.

Deeper Smart Sonar Pro+

Earlier this morning I went over to San Pedro to pick up a K-200 air pump. I got around to talking about fishing and float tubing in particular with Dan who sold me the K-pump. We started talking about float tubing and Dan showed me lot's of his gear. In particular Dan showed me a round little ball ...

Re: Outcast Trinity & Fish Cat 5

My question to you Benny is, when are you coming down to christen them in the SD Bay? :bananadance: Let me know what days you're likely to be on the water. I'll try and set up a day on when to head South to SD Bay to join you on the water. I'm always reading up on your your adventures on the water ...
