I pretty sure that fat fart never even used that reel. He might of snagged it while bait fishing. We all should send him a question telling him he is dreaming.

Re: Carpn' Outfit up for Grabs!

Bob,

So how did you get that Hazmat suit around that beard of yours? I would think it would not make a good seal…

C&R, 10 Tips for a Successful Release

C&R, 10 Tips for a Successful Release After seeing someone on another forum handle fish with dry hands before releasing them back into the water. I figure it is time to remind people how to properly release fish so they will have the best chance of survival. With the coming of summer and warm wa...

Re: Knot Strength--Tippet to Fly

You're right about the standard Davy slipping--especially on fine tippet or when used to make droppers where you're just tying to the hook bend. Why are you worried about breaking strength and slipping - you don't catch big enough fish that to be a problem, do you? :booty:  You're right, I don...

Re: Recommendations for LO?

Zee once said to me, “The Lower Owens is the easiest river to catch fish, if you’re not catching them your fly isn’t in the water”. From all the recommendations, a lot of different flies seem to catch fish for a lot of different people. It doesn’t really matter what you use within reason, just get i...

Re: Fred Hall Fly Fishing Features

That looks like a great line-up of seminars this year. Fly fishing has a come a long way at the Fred Hall Show over the years. Too bad for me I’m going to have to miss it this year; the lower Owens and the Kern River are calling my name…

I’ll be there, helping others work on their Double haul. It is a real fun event and a great way to learn a few new tricks and ties. As for the rest of the members here, ;)

Re: Lost and Found

Ski racks are a great alternative to most rod holders, especially when freeway speeds are involved. I have seen good ones on Craigslist and Ebay cheap.

Re: Fishusa.com

I have never dealt with the online retailer you have mentioned. But I will say I have had nothing but good experiences with the online flyshop retailers that I have done business with over the years. It is so easy to shop online in the comfort of your home or office. Most online retailers offer free...

Re: FOUND!

Brian,
Welcome to the forum, it was nice chatting with you on Saturday night. Listening to your story about how you lost the rod on Sunday morning made me quite bummed. Now I’m glad you’re going to get your rod back. Someday maybe we can fish some water together.
