Re: Same Trout - Multiple Takes? Multiple Landings?

I would not think that once you hooked and landed a fish that it would be inclined to do it again right away. One thing is the fish needs to go back to the feeding lie it was at when you 1st hooked it. More likely it was looking for a place to hide which may or may not be the same as a feeding lie. ...

Re: The best way to kill a fish

Wow, this thread has grown quite large. I guess most of us on this board are passionate about how fish should be handled to insure the long term health of the fish and fishery. Jon maybe Kent at Troutfitters should be made aware of the negative publicity his response to your email has generated. Mark

Re: The best way to kill a fish

Jon, I think you did the right thing in pointing out the incorrect way to handle a trout that is going to be released supposedly unharmed. I think it is too bad that Kent took offence to you pointing out the improper way to handle a fish. So many guides out there don’t like it when you point out way...

Re: Patagonia Sling Pack

I’ll be trying out mine this weekend, I look forward to a more simple approach to less is better. When I first started fly fishing last century I carried a film canister of flies, an extra leader, (I didn’t know to use tippet yet) floatant and nippers. If I recall the fish didn’t care and were usual...

Re: Here it is....the 2013 shootout.

Lucky for us there are a lot of rods that are available from various rod manufactures to choose from. The hard part is determining which one suits your style, budget, and needs. George Anderson is doing something that may or may not help you make that choice. If your favorite rod makes a high score ...
