Re: The End of an Era?

Just saying "Good Luck" doesn't quite cover it. I've seen mountain homes burn before, and there is that helpless feeling when you know, nothing is going to keep it from burning and all you can do is turn your back on it and get out with what you can carry. Still,.. wishing you all the best...

Re: See You On The Other Side.....

Sounds great to me and me thinking about heading to California, under protest now.
I'd much rather heading into the Rocky Mountains at this stage in my life !!!
Is this world topsy-turvy or what ?!?!?.

Re: There's a hole in our hearts....

Family and close friends are always the toughest to get through. I know it may ring hollow now, but things will get better with time. And soon you'll be able to remember the goods times without crying.....

Re: 8 1/2 or 9 foot?

I'm in the, "use the longest rod that the water will let you" camp. Longer rods have many advantages, especially if you are nymphing. My "go to" nymphing rods are 10 foot. That said if you are going to be throwing drys, longer is not as big of an advantage. It is one of the reaso...

Re: A life saving article

Funny they didn't mention several things..... When using a wading/hiking staff always plan that staff downstream, even if it means using your non-dominate hand/arm. Polarized sunglasses and a hat will help you see the bottom and help with deciding where to make your next step. Never try swimming ups...

Re: What? Cant upload images from IMGUR?

For what it's worth I have been having problems with photobucket.
The still images work fine, but all my old videos won't play and now I can't upload any new ones.
Does anybody know what's going on there?

Re: Thankful for Everyone on this Board

This place is one of the better forums you can find. It is the only other place I post my stories other than our local GRTU site. The reason is the other people on this sight. I learned a lot about places that I may or may not get to on the bucket list. And certainly added places to that list becaus...

Re: I will fill in the blanks...

I want to see the next installment. I have fished the Madison so many times this post is almost like a flashback. By the way my favorite setup is to fish a #8 Jimmy legs and #20 flashback black caddis or 2 Bit Hooker for nymphing. They seem to catch fish all the time. I also suggest trying the Madis...

Re: Colorblind test

I raced a Honda Elsinore 125 for two years back in 72 and 73. It was such a blast to ride and competitive right off the showroom floor. I was up in the front of the pack mostly with it around the tracks in central Texas. I sold it to buy a new 74 Ford Capri 2800. I never got back to racing on the di...
