Great report! That area is within striking distance for me as a day trip and has always been on my list, but I'm always lured away by Yosemite. Like you, I think I need to make it a bit more of a priority. It's good to know there are still some fish doing well up there after the big fire a few years...

The biggest drawback is that you can't see what you are filming. Interesting stuff, at least you got the lions tail! I've thought about getting one of these to see what sort of critter I can hear rooting around in my compost pile at night. It has to be a possum or raccoon, but I'd like to get some footage.
