I bought one from China for 1 cent. It didn't fit the reel seat. Sold it at my garage sale for $7

Re: Southern Sierra Fly Fishers Event

I'm going Andy. I will be donating one of my treasures. It's an almost new, used one weekend on the HC ranch, Sage TXL 3710-3. I think it's the same model Papasequioa was using before I slammed my truck door on it  I challenge all fly fisher people to match my donation to this great cause. Help...

Re: Heritage Trout Challenge

Hey DS, In order to qualify for the challenge, the Paiute's must have no less than 11 par marks, (or was it 10?) and be caught below a certain falls. Probably the most difficult to catch, and the Lohantan Cuttback is right there with it. Unless you're a lucky volunteer ;) , you may never get one tha...

Re: Heritage Trout Challenge

If my memory serves me right, UC Davis studies found some tribs with KKR's at 97% pure.
Thanks, Tim

Re: Marmot EOS 1p at Campsaver.com

Hey John, I just ordered the Big Agnes HV UL2 Copper Spur with the MountainGlo system. They (BA) gave me a 50% off for returning my old seedhouse2 model for repairs, but they couldn't fix the seams. I can't wait to start setting it up in my living room. I really liked their Customer Service as well....

Re: Passing of Westlake Dave

Brandt, the service was grand and your dad's memories were well conveyed to the congregation.
I will keep my painted rock with the picture of him at the HCR. When I get my computer back from Debbie I promise to send you all the pics I can find.
Take care, Tim:)/'~~--<*}))><

Re: Passing of Westlake Dave

Brandt, my most sincere condolences. I loved your old man, and always enjoyed his posts mostly bragging about your fishing prowess. He always replied to your posts as you did with his. Seeing the pair of you at the rendezvous was always my pleasure.
Thanks, Tim:)/'~~--~>*}))><

Re: Just retired, time to get back to flyfishing!
We are getting to Mammoth on Sept. 18th, staying in a cabin at Tamarack Lodge, doing day trips sightseeing and fishing the Owens. I would like to do Hot Creek Ranch someday.
Welcome In 1976 my sister managed Tamarack. My Union went on strike that year, so I went up there and helped h...

Re: Airstream Chronicles Pt. V

Curtis Thank you for the great read(s).
May God bless your team and all those who serve and keep us safe. It must have been a harrowing adrenaline filled experience for them. It had me glued to the tv the whole day.

Re: Best Cold Weather Fishing/Hunting Gloves?

Hello Jeff. I agree that the hand warms are the best way to keep your hands warmer than the ambient temps. I also use them for my feet and I use the double back/hip warmers when in my waders in cold deep water. A real asset to have. I would like to know if they set off some sort of odor that could a...

Re: Age old debate finally settled?

Good one! You just made me snort beer through my nose. Did you use a straw or just poor it into a small container and lift it to your nose to snort it? Just trying to picture how one goes about snorting beer. Wouldn't a neti pot or something similar be more effective at introducing liquid en mass i...

I vote yea, make two of them, and take me with you! Do a little quail hunting while we're out there.
What body of waters are you looking to break it in on?
