Just reading this thread and have to tell you that last Sunday I was at Harveston Lake. I fish there a lot because I live in the area. The night before my wife suggested that I put labels on my fishing stuff. Wow what a good idea. I should have done it then. Because the next day my dry fly box fell ...

Do any of you guys twist your own furled leaders. You Tube shows you how to do it, which looks easy enough. But I just can't get the feel for it. I stretch the memory out of the mono. About half way though the twist I start getting all twisted out of shape. I've lost a few of the leaders to the bott...

In my younger years I would have been right there. Now days I stay A Way From opening days. Way to much Activity....

I usually have luck with these flies.
1. Adams
2. Prince Nymphs, no bead
3.Copper Johns
4.Woolly Buggers
5.Elk Hare Caddis

Last year at Diamond Valley Lake I was fishing at 35ft. hooked into a 5.5 stripe bass what a fun pull that was.That was the deepest I've fished a fly line. Good Luck going Deep.......Fred

Bare foot in the summertime fishing in the Surf at Mission Beach. Stepped on a Stingray and got stung on the foot. Hurt,Hurt, Hurt. Now I do the Stingray Shuffle when fishing in the surf......Fred....
