Re: Solar Chargers - Suggestions?

I have been using the stuff made by Goal Zero for a couple of years now and have been pretty happy. The solar panels are not too cumbersome, and they make several different size batteries that you can keep charged. Or just directly charge your phone. I have 3 different size batteries , with the smal...

Re: Best prescription glasses?

During the move to Boise I broke 2 pairs of glasses. Broke one pair, put on my back up pair and broke them 5 min. later. When I replaced them I got one pair of regular glasses and a pair of polarized sunglasses with brown lenses. I don't remember who makes their lenses. both are good, but , I've fis...

Re: Simple way to tie a Blood Knot

That's great Jim. Thanks for posting it. I don't use a blood knot much but i'm going to put a few toothpicks in my vest and float tube.Of course , a year from now I will wonder why I have toothpicks in my vest and remove them from my vest and float tube.

Re: Good waders for hiking? Wading pants?

I agree with Norcal Bob. Pack in your waders and put them on when you get to your destination. This last duck season I jump shot the upper O from below hot creek to the ranch. It was 5 degrees when I started and 30 degrees when I finished. Everything that I was wearing was Gortex, breathable, and so...

Re: A Huge Lesson

Mike, i'm really sorry to hear that you guys had your day ruined by some punk. I hope that Chris will recover completely. It's good that you are someone who trusts that situational awareness sense that we all posses but too many people ignore. I am a BIG believer in "personal space". I don...

Re: Opening Day - did anyone venture out?

I love the opener, I just have never wanted to be there for it. Why go all that way to fish the most crowded weekend of the season. What I love about it is that Crowley is open again, wooohooo.

Re: Outcast Fish Cat LCS Deluxe

I have always tried to get Karen out there , so I have always had at least 2. Over the years we would upgrade and keep the old ones as backup. We had 5 at one point. Yeah, that was a bit much.

Re: Outcast Fish Cat LCS Deluxe

Doesn't everyone that float tubes have more than one tube ? Back up, it's just smart. Looks like you have jumped in with both feet on the salt fishing. Good luck this weekend.

Re: Dump alert

I'll be up there this weekend with Lucy , hopefully. She got her stitches out a week ago but the weather has been too windy and wet for quail. We will be looking for those Chukar. I hope that the roads will dry out a little, but I am expecting muck. I hope that the last week of the season goes well ...
