Re: Rush Creek Video

Great video. Was wondering whose responsible for rehab on final 5 miles? What's the hold up? Who should be pushing for completion of Rush Creek rehab?

Re: Tenkara rods

I purchased the Sato combo from Orvis while visiting NYC. Used the $25 off coupon offer appearing in most fly fishing magazines. While visiting Yosemite this week, I fished the rod for the 1st time on the Merced River below Happy Isles using the grizzly hackled Kabari fly. Did very well w/ lots of s...

Re: New to the area and fly fishing

Fished the middle section 1/29 & 30th. Snowed out the 31st. Small, 18-24, black flies fished along the bottom worked best. Tight line techniques worked for me but others used an indicator. Fish were rising during the day for emergers just below or in the surface film. A word of caution, Fish &am...

Re: Steelhead - the wild versions

Suggest listening to April Vokeys Anchored podcast interview with Greg Osborn-Pro Hatcheries from Aug 4th. She tries to stay objective but I think you can hear skepticism in her tone & questions. Interesting listen.

Re: Redington Dually Switch rod

Thanks anyway. Had the same concerns about the line & even the reel. That's why I was considering a combo package from a Reds Fly Shop.

Re: How do you straighten your leaders?

I use the rubber sole of my shoe. Grasp a section of the leader in each hand & saw back & forth. Repeat until entire length of tapered leader is straight.
