Drying off flies.

I've been using wonder cloth for years to dry off flies. Wonder cloth works fine but my question is how good is amadou? I never tried amadou. Maybe due to the price difference? I need some input from the experts on this site. Wonder cloth https://i.imgur.com/6tcOofFl.jpg Amadou https://i.imgur.com/e...

Re: 2017 IFTD / ICAST Show Report - Photo Heavy

Loomis IMX!! I just busted my IMX 4WT. I built in the 90's. Looks like I will just have to send it in for a replacement IMX-Pro series. Thanks for the post.

Re: Redington Vice 907

Kickin it up a notch is wise. Especially when larger fish have that vertical descend on you. Just no leverage. Creating that infamous candy cane. Next, 8WT.? I'm telling you "when will it will never end!".

Re: Braided line.

Forgot to mention I use Fireline for tying stinger hooks on spey flies. Fireline is very stiff, and holds the hook in a better position than some/most other braids. I also use a special wire, but I like braid better because it's a little more forgiving to work with. As for sensitivity, there is no ...

Braided line.

I have been using Fireline for over two years on my floating line long leader set up for the back bays and soft surf. This past year I have also used it on Streamer fishing. No stretch, sensitivity and thin diameter is what I was looking for to build a leader for the surf. A 10' intermediate sink po...

Re: Most worthless thing in all of fly fishing

I have three pair of wading boots. First would be an older pair of Simms that are cleated felt. Second would be my Korkers that have super large cleats. They remind me of the football cleats I used in high school.

Re: A GREAT float tube/belly boat

Just bought some Outcast flippers on eBay. I assume they researched their own flippers a little bit - or at least know them well enough to know they should work well with their boats. Fins can be a tricky *. There are a lot of fly fishers that just troll and some that like to cast out let it sink d...
