Re: Slower action rods?

Absolutely nothing cheap about them but I love my Winston BIIt's (8ft 3wt and 9ft 4wt). Great for casting dry flies and I especially like the bend-to-the-cork action when hooked up, Richard, which one were you throwing that day on the Kings? That bent quite nicely on those fish! The 8ft 3wt. it's a...

Re: Stocking the Kern

Dude. I've created a new forum that is a place for concise information. I've also invited ALL OF YOU to have a forum on this at my house or on the river or anywhere. I would like to get everyone involved, and what I can do NOW (I can't go back into the past) is this. However, no one except KC has s...

Re: Redington Warranty

Guys, just wanted to put this out here. I recently broke my Redington RS4 9' 4wt and sent it in for the warranty service. Have to say everything turned out great. It only took from sending the rod in and getting it back, a week and a half. This is my first time using a rod warranty and I thought th...

Re: Stocking the Kern

I'd love to see the Kern a wild trout catch & release fishery but, until the regs change, resuming planting is a good second choice.

Re: Those evil rods that throw 3wt and lighter lines

Yep, I use my Sage 00wt to target little trout in small creeks. However, sometimes things don't go quite as planned and you catch something like this http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h61/RichardCullip/Jackson_Hole/Web052.jpg p.s. the little rod was up to the task and I could have easily put enough ...

Re: Most frightening experience while fishing?

I've been pretty blessed and haven't had many scary episodes while out on the water. My scariest moment was learning the hard way that water on polished granite (Yosemite High Country) and felt-soled wading boots can be a very dangerous combination. One day, when fishing by myself, I had my feet sli...
