Re: Sinking line for bass rod

I really like the Rio Custom Cut Outbound line (T-11) with the head trimmed to 30ft. This will give you 330 grns of fast sinking line. I use the T-8 version (cut to 30ft) on my 6wt (240 grns) when I need to get to the bottom when fishing the surf or tubin' San Diego Bay. Check it out here http://www...

Re: Members' Bio: Where'd you come from?

Welcome DuckDog. Have you found the joy of combining your love of the surf with your love of fly fishing yet? If not, there's a wonderful world of fly fishing adventures right in your back yard. The sandy beaches and quiet bays of Southern Calif are just filled with fun fish to catch.

Re: July Fish/Pic of the Month

Wow! Some great photos. It's going to be hard to select the best of the best, but I'll do my best. Here's a bonus photo (I'm assuming the guest judge for the month can't make an official entry)

Re: Backpacking meals

I like to pack some English Muffins and a bit of honey. Butter up one side, toast them up in a fry pan and spread the honey on them. Makes a great tasty breakfast.

Re: Greetings!

Have fun up there and I hope you get to slip out and enjoy some time of the water soon. I'll be down in San Diego County the last week of July and the main purpose of the trip from my wife's and daughter's perspective will be to strip wall-paper and paint the new house. Of course, from my perspectiv...
