Re: It's over...It's just beginning!

Congrats! I said goodbye to "The Man" just under a year ago and I have to say, this past year has been one of the busiest I have ever had and it has had almost no fishing. That said, I'm hoping to fix that in the upcoming year. Let me know where when and what you are planning for Vancouver...

Re: What is this Message Board Worth?

We were all incredibly lucky to 'come of age' as it were when there were forums like this to really get to know one another - first through posts and often, later, through personal interaction. Many (most?) internet forums like this are dying out and it is a sad thing to witness. I've probably made ...

Re: The Last 24 Months

What a nice two years! I remember when I used to fish that much. Maybe you should come up here to the PNW and give me a nudge. However, with buying a home, retiring, getting on Medicare and a few medical procedures I think we are finally about ready to relax and do some of the things we had planned....

Re: Managed Only a Handful at Local.

Well, one way to look at it is that catching a fish is just the gravy on top of the times spent out in nature and the great outdoors. I haven't caught a fish in months, but I do get out almost every day for long walks in the woods. On the other hand, I wouldn't mind some gravy one of these days. ;)

Re: Long Overdue Trip (Report)

Sounds like a very special trip - thanks for sharing it with us. My dad taught me how to fly fish when I was a kid and I inherited his old fly rod and reel. I break it out about every other year and it is always a special day for me remembering the past. I was thinking as I was reading your tale tha...

Re: Where Did Everyone Go?

Doing lots of hikes, but haven't been able to get out fishing since moving up to the PNW in July. Not a lot of trout fishing nearby, but salmon fishing seems to be picking up, so maybe soon.

Re: FFA T-SHIRTS ARE NOW AVAILABLE!

So what I was wearing the other day is a classic that I could sell for hundreds? *, if only it was sweat-stained and full of little holes. Or wait, maybe that gives it character?

Re: Backpack to Glen Aulin HSC and Waterwheel Falls, 6/24/20

Love that area - thanks for the pics and report. That was one of my first trips when I lived in Yosemite (82-84) and I was lucky enough to do it in a high water year and see the waterwheels. That was also the second bp trip we took with our boys but only got about a half mile below the HSC which was...

Re: Some One From Our Little Forum Is Famous

I wonder if that smile is from the fish or still basking in the post-retirement giddiness? Looking good there, Luc!

Re: Miss Nona is Bonafide.

Well, that sounds like a fun day! The Sierra Nevada are now (finally) covered in snow also. However, I'm unfamiliar with this "Sangria" range you talk about? Maybe you had a few while you were writing? LOL But seriously, I'm sure we all can't wait to see Miss Nona on the eastside.
