Re: ANNUAL GOALS & RESOLUTIONS
I've got a red one like the third on the right.

Jimbo
Jimbo, that would be 9th on the right, or 3rd on your other right (left).

1, My main resolution would be not to be so critical.

Flex Spex - Optical Aid

I purchased a pair of Flex Spex last time I was in Mammoth replacing a set of flip focals that I had been using for the last few years. The flip focals kept falling down when I would take a long step down, like stepping off the rails on the trail to Hot Creek. Plus they always had that geeky look so...

Re: WOW people just don't get it...

That was spin/bait fisherman, think that's bad, I had a guide with father son clients & the guide set the son a rods length away from me! I wanted to start berating the guide with laguage that would make a sailor blush but held my tongue, I wish I hadn't because maybe he would have lost his tip!

Re: What Does Fly Fishing Mean To You?

For me, I receivied my 1st fly rod on my 13th BDay, 1965. I loved fishing, just going to my local lake with a few pieces of bread to catch bluegils was a thrill. At first, I used salmon eggs, it taught me how to control the line. The late 60's early 70's were mostly spin fishing with fly fishing as ...

Re: Carry weapons while fishing

This is a story of self-control and marksmanship with an itsy bitsy shooter by a woman against a fierce predator. What is the smallest caliber you trust to protect yourself? The Beretta Jetfire: While out hiking in Alberta Canada with my husband we were surprised by a huge grizzly bear charging at u...

Re: Carry weapons while fishing

Don't own guns, had 2 situations that were scary. One when I was on the LO, someone was shooting from the other side of the river, I swear I could hear the bullet going over my head. I started yelling, "Hey * stop shooting" then I thought Uh Oh, he's the one with the gun! The other time I ...

Re: Marriott's Fly Fishing Store sold

Well now I know how long I've been tying flies;
I learned to tie from Dale, (Dale's Hackle & Tackle), the owner prior to Bob buying the shop.
