Random HOPPER thoughts

Usually August and early September are hopper time. This year I haven't gotten on any decent hopper bites. I know part of it is that I just haven't been able to get to any good hopper locations this season when the hoppers were hoppin'. I got to thinking what if hopper spots could be created/enhance...

Re: Canyon Lake poachers

When we had to display our licenses, I got a ticket for not having mine displayed at Silverwood Lake. It was pinned to my shirt and pulled off the pin going through some brush. I had the reciept/copy in my wallet and the pin still on the shirt, but still got a ticket. When I went to court the judge ...

Re: Fishing 19. - 22. Sep

Hey Mike,

Since my truck is having Tranny issues, if they aren't fixed by then, would you care for a passenger? I'll PM my # to talk about the particulars.

Tight lines,
Wade

Re: New Dry Fly Floatant?

At the very least you need a flammability warning. You wouldn't want someone :fireangry: because they lit-up around an open bottle, not to mention the fire danger to our National Forrests.

Re: 16.9. 2013

I've got some vacation days built up. Let me know when to take a few. Cheap/free camping would be a plus. Anyone want to share a ride from Bako?

Tight lines,

Re: Fishing

Zee,

Welcome back to the USA! I hope to fish with you again. I recently picked up a 12' 4wt that works great for the far side of that seam you showed me when your lady was along with us.

Tight lines,

No Rich, that's what we fish for, but all we ever catch is a few fish.

Re: Friend's Trip Planning

The owner of this shop gave a presentation to the KRFF club in Bako and a few members have gone out with him and reccomend him as a guide who'll put you on what you want if you let him know what that is. I understand he's pretty easy with info if you go to his shop and spend a little $. Of course he...

Re: It seems to take several forums to get the story

I wondered what the cage was for. I've drifted by there a few times and almost always see someone perched on it. As for the waders, I get burgers at Riverkern or McNallys. When at RK I poke my head in the door and tell them "I don't want to track mud into your store so could someone take my ord...

Re: Memorial Day Weekend

I'll behiking in and out near the forks on Saturday. Sunday and Monday I'm thinking about meeting my lady near Bishop. She's going up to help her brother with a booth at Mule-days. So I'm going to wet a line while they're busy and meet her/them after. Any suggestion on where I can both wet a line an...

Reel for TFO TiCR 10wt?

During a business trip to Houston, TX I dropped/fell with my rod and broke the reel I had on it. I didn't much like the reel, so it's not a great loss. Now I need to replace it before chasing Leos in the surf and/or Calicos in the Kelp in the not too distant future (Time and Location TBD). Unfortuna...

Re: Hanford?

Thanks for the heads up referring me to Scott. I wasn't able to get ahold of him but that's ok. Do you know where to go on the Lower Kings? I could have some fun with a bass or 2. :bananadance:
