Re: ~ 24 Fly Tying Enthusiast ~ 17 Flies ~ 1 Fly Box ~

Are there any spots left? I'd like to throw in my Black, Olive, Tan (if I can find more of that color KF) and Pink Lightnin' bugs. Tight Lines, Wade P.S.: Any objections to donating most of my winnings to CFR? I figure I'll keep 2 of each and donate the rest. 1 for pattern and 1 to fish should be en...

Re: December Photo Contest

JGFLYFISH,
That doesn't look like any Californian sunfish, more like a Cichlid. I don't want to hot spot but where was that taken? PM if you don't want to give away the location to the world.

Thanks,
Wade

Re: Indicators

Unless I missed the boat, I think Luc would be looking more fore an unpegged Lil Corky with a bobber stop on the leeader so the Corky can slide down to the split-shot during casting and then slide back up to the stop to set the rig at depth. I've done this with the dog-bone style stops with holes at...

Re: Can it be "fly addict"?

Anybody else notice where the end of the flyline is? Still, I'd love to be there wherever there is!

Re: Fly Line Repair - Help

Since you said a few inches, nail knotting a perfection loop works. If it's more than a 3-5 feet back you should go the mean wife route.

Re: You make the call

Just wondering where you guys place the dividing line between snagging and nymphing. I was taught to set with a lite downstream twitch if anything even seems like it's different. When I'm confident a fish has taken I set harder but I still try not to rip the fly out of the area. If I miss I can stil...

Re: Members' Bio: Where'd you come from?

I have no idea when the 1st time I went fishing was, probably before I was out of diapers knowing Dad and both Grandpas. The 1st fishing story involving me was of me getting pulled off my Grandparents dock on Corinthian Canal on Clear Lake by a Crappie eating Bass. Dad had a framed picture of 4 year...
