Lockdown Posts

Alright boys and the few gals here (that never post anymore), most of us are in CA so we're all under the stay at home order. I say let's post pics, stories, or future plans here on this thread. I don't care if its a record breaking tarpon or a pic of a local dink trout or just a nice pic with the f...

Re: Best prescription glasses?

If your glasses are made in Italy (though they also manufacture in China), it's almost a 100% certainty they are made by Luxottica. They have the license for just about all luxury or brand name glasses from Armani to Ray Ban to any other name. They own LensCrafters and have a monopoly on the eyeglas...

Re: I made a fly fishing video game

That's pretty neat. FYI the game's website, it appears that there is no link to buy. At least it is not easily found. May want to get that changed.

Re: There's a hole in our hearts....

I'm so sorry to hear this Jim. May she rest in peace. I'm sure she'll be watching over you, your family and your animals.

Re: Wading Pants Fiasco

I owned a Chota once, not the pair you posted but another. Didn't last one outing before flooding my leg with frigid water. They suck.

Re: Rattlesnake protection

For early season hunting I've worn Turtleskin pants. They wear for the most part like ordinary pants. The snake protection is in the lower knee portion. Its alittle stiff but not too much some that it bothers you. You tend to forget about it after a hundred yards of hiking. That said I wouldn't wear...

Re: What About Bob?

More about the rod please. Looks like a Orvis Superfine, tell us more! Jimbo Jim, So far I like the rod. I got it in the Orifice Outfit-rod, line +backing, and the reel. When I was casting it in my pool without a leader or fly, I wasn't too impressed. The slight wind wasn't helping but when I took ...

Thanks for taking us along!

Like Luc at Canyon, I'll only fish one way at least at our local mountains. Top water or bust. Bob was fishing subsurface the whole time.

Re: What About Bob?

In Bob We Trust. How did the gear perform? I just qualified as “Pro Staff” for Redington and plan on picking up some boots and the waders. So far so good. The rubber soled boots are grippy. I have complete confidence in them in normal fishing conditions. I've yet to see how they perform in the nast...
