Re: Forest service temporarily closes all SCNFs.

Humboldt Toiyabe NF (basically north of Conway Summit) has not closed. Maybe you can find something out of Bridgeport. Keeping in mind that the Slink Fire north of there could be a factor with smoke.

Re: Looking for a New #3wt

So, looking around - not seeing any used available. Will keep an eye. That said, I feel 8' is too short for what I want this rod for (Alpine lakes, larger water than my 7'10" TXL00). My go to rod for alpine lakes, GTW and other locals, is a 9' Sage Z-Axis 4 weight. Not quite what you are looki...

Re: Looking for a New #3wt

Winston BIIt (Boron), 8 foot 3 weight. Nicest rod I ever cast in that category, but you would have to find a used one for that price range. Shortly after I bought mine I was fishing with Richard Cullip who cast it for a while. The next day he went out and bought one! :D

Re: Underwater

Yeah, like Gary I seem to remember when you used to post a lot of underwater stuff years and years ago - nice to see some new footage. We are going to rent a place in Bellingham, WA for a year and see if we like it enough to retire there in two. Gotta stay in the west.

Re: Big Agnes Customer Support

Simms used to have a great warranty - sad to say they don't anymore. Hence I am a current owner of some great Redington waders.

Re: One of our members has been robbed

Well, I have not updated this thread since January, but I just received notice from Greg that he has begun work on the replacement net for Curtis. He sent me some pictures copied below and wrote this to me, "Great progress on the net today. I took the one plank i had left, ripped it on half, us...

Re: State considering "putting a halt to fishing"

I think they closed CA and recommended that we all go and fish in Idaho.

Re: So Cal Report | 03.15.20

Reminds me of the variations one can find in Dry Fly Creek. Glad to see you got out - I have yet to wet a line in 2020.

Re: One of our members has been robbed

Papa, I will send some money by way of PayPal. Yes, it is dated, but I am reluctant to set up a new way to transfer money for a single event. Thanks for coordinating the friendship effort. Ants Understood. However, just for general info - Zelle is safer, faster and easier to use than PayPal. You ju...

Re: One of our members has been robbed

Zelle is new to me also, can you PM the info please. Zelle is really the easiest way to send money from bank to bank. It is an instantaneous transfer (unlike, apparently, Venmo where you have to wait a few days). Most banks now have Zelle and all you need to do is sign up with your bank for it onli...

Re: One of our members has been robbed

Thanks to all who have contributed so far. John Harper, Ryan, Tom, Richard and Jim - I have received your funds via Zelle. Luc, got your message that a check is in the mail; I'll let you know when I get it. Someone asked about PayPal but I can't remember who. I logged in after creating a new PW and ...
