Re: One of our members has been robbed

I know the odds are astronomical that any of would ever bump into someone with the stolen net, but what is the grandma's name on the net? Miss Nona? Andy That is correct. This is what Curtis wrote about it and a picture of it: "This was the net. Made from a black walnut tree that was on our fa...

Re: One of our members has been robbed

Just to make it clear - the drive on the Drake forum is separate from this one. You can go there to donate gear as part of that group if you wish. What we are trying to do here is just collect funds to get a new net built. Since I am organizing this you can donate to me using Zelle at the phone numb...

Re: Mammoth, Early Season ?

Well, ya never know. With the great late season snow last year for example, the lakes basin was still closed well into June meaning any campsites reserved there had to be canceled. During the drought years early June was a good time to fish. Shady Rest in town (as you know) should be open and has a ...

Re: Best prescription glasses?

Thanks all for the replies. For me the decision is 'colored' by the fact that I am colorblind, so I often can't see the darn fish anyways! For me, their camouflage is great. I actually need a couple of pair, so I will probably do a quickie pair at lenscrafters or something and try one of the pricier...

Best prescription glasses?

My eyes just keep getting worse and it is time to upgrade to a stronger prescription again. The last few times I have just had the guy who works in the optometrist's office send them out for getting the prescription and polarization. He tells me that it is the same as the name brands, but I'm not so...

Re: Sabrina Basin mid October?

I would agree with everything Gary said and add that in addition to good cold weather gear you will need good route finding skills should you happen to get a surprise snow storm that covers the trail. Just in case. If you have those skills and the weather looks good, by all means go - fall is a grea...

Re: Rush Creek Video

Four of us fished down low on Rush during the 2012 Volcano Party, me, Tom Sakai, Rob and Mark. It was a brushy * down there. Looks like Photobucket is allowing the old pics to be seen again? http://www.flyfishingaddicts.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=8518 We got some okay fish, but it was a battl...
