Re: Backcountry books

Thanks Dean & Wildman!
I think that gives me a good head start for reading material. Tom Harrison maps are great aren't they? I just wish they were a little less than 9 bucks a pop. They are really durable though so maybe I shouldn't complain haha.

Re: Lightweight Rod Tubes

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has suggestions for some lightweight rod tubes to hike with. My TFO Pro doesn't have one and I lug around a Sched 40 PVC pipe with a * * for a top and cap on the other end. It's rather hefty to say the least. Does anyone have any good DIY suggestions for a lightw...

Re: Backcountry books

Hiking the GTW by Suzanne Sweedo is a great book, along with a Tom Harrison GTW map, can't go wrong. Ah yes, that is the book I was talking about. Good to know it's worthwhile. I'm up for books on any sierra locations if anyone has some other good books or resources. I've been checking out Steven Oja...

Does anyone have any good book recommendations for good trails to check out and difficulty ratings and the like? Re: Sport Chalet Question

A third for La Canada! Tom over there in the fishing section is a pretty helpful guy. Though they're not all inclusive, you can get a whole lot of good supplies there, especially hooks. I feel they had a better selection prior to their move to the new location, but I'm hoping if enough people can co...

Re: #200

Just as a suggestion, I belong to a huuuuge forum for reefkeeping (saltwater fish tanks) and they have many options available to forum members who meet a certain amount of posts... and they also police people so that they don't get to the 50 ...

Re: Members' Bio: Where'd you come from?

Heya folks, It was suggested to me that I come here and tell you all a bit about my fishing background. I've been fishing since I was pretty young, in fact I remember when I was very young a very traumatic moment at santa fe dam. I had managed to hook myself on a little treble hook and refused to le...
