Re: Photobucket changes

I found something on the web for imgur that was interesting by adding 1 character for the photo size. This worked for me. https://thomas.vanhoutte.be/miniblog/imgur-thumbnail-trick/ So if you image URL is https://i.imgur.com/9ZC02Os.jpg, you simply add the l to the image name: https://i.imgur.com/9...

Re: Braided line.

. All my knot that I connect flor to braid are tied with the Crazy Alberto knot. I just find this knot easier to tie for me. Does anyone use braided line for any application in fly fishing? I've used braid a limited amount with fly gear. I do like how thin and strong it is. And yes, nothing beats i...

Re: Photobucket changes

You just need to resize before upload. I use a free program called "light image resizer" that plugs into windows shell and can bulk-resize and rename. http://www.obviousidea.com/windows-software/light-image-resizer/ I think there is also a change to forum settings that could automatically...

Re: Photobucket changes

I opened an Imgur account and uploaded some pictures. It uploads pics smoother, and faster than Photobucket, but I'm not able to upload videos. Not sure it's just me not able to figure it out, or Imgur doesn't host videos. Now my problem is posting pics to forums, using Imgur. My test here, gives m...

Re: Photobucket changes

So now the question comes up. Is there any relatively easy way to transfer your Photobucket photos and vids, to another hosting website. I'd gladly change if there is. I'm VERY hesitant if I have to load all my pictures and vids, one by one, from multiple PCs.

Re: Photobucket changes

If things continue to make life tough at Photobucket, I will have to change services. It will be a PAIN to transfer all the pics over to a new site, but Photobucket may not give me a choice. FWIW, I'm paying a small fee at PB now, and it's working just OK for now.

Re: DIY Fly Rod Mount

Nice! I have a Thule rack on my truck shell, so I could do the same thing......my luck, I'd hit a giant bird and it would shatter all my rods.

Re: My New Cottonwood Lakes Wading Boots!

Those look like they will work great. Interesting thing about them, the soles and upper construction look like Keen made them.

Re: Deeper Smart Sonar Pro+

Neat idea. Very compact, and you don't have to buy batteries. The flip side, this unit/transducer is low tech/power, and will give the most basic of sonar readings. All the "added benefits" they claim, are pretty much in your phone or tablet already. Still is a good option if you want a ve...

Re: Bass Rod Trifecta

So Brian, any update on the performance of the St. Croix Mojo rod? I am just a bit curious..... Update. Spent a little more time with the rod this weekend. Still no fish caught with the rod, but I did fish a large-ish Gurgler yesterday. I found the softer tip on this rod requires me to change timin...

Re: The most neglected tool in flyfishing.....

This weekend I was missing a lot of grabs. Checked the hook on a brand new fly I tied, and the hook point was rolled over. :fireangry: I have a built in hook sharpener on my nippers, but of course I couldn't find them. ......I take that back. I found the clip that holds the nippers to my gear bag, b...
