Re: There's a hole in our hearts....

Thanks Curtis. I remember that day like it was yesterday. I needed you and your bride's strength that day. Our family today is supported by an amazing network of family, friends and our fire department family. We are so thankful.

Re: Pennsylvania fly fishing

Barrie-
I, for one, would love to see stories of the fish you are catching in PA and anywhere in the US. You've had access to some iconic waters and would make some interesting reading.

Re: Inflatable Raft/Kayak recos

Say rak777...just curious. What brought you back here after a two year hiatus from posting? We're doing a survey on what draws folks to post here after long layoffs. Trying to figure out why you never felt the urge to stay active since you joined in 2016 and what we could have done to make you feel ...

Re: Self Inflating PFD

Thinking we might have been scammed from the beginning. This guy had an email of jeepguy@hotmail.com and was big into jeeps. Our guy used to make posts using my name on car sites and * folks off who would contact me all upset. Thinking Fishpole came back in and built a cred here by posting all kinds...

Re: Self Inflating PFD

I feel badly that I didn't see that post sooner. I had heard of another instance with this fellow but couldn't find it. This is not his first rodeo...I believe that both Gary and I have a long history with this poster.

Re: Self Inflating PFD

Just posted this on his post and removed him from the rolls. I apologize for missing that post and others that he seemed to have made. The tenor and tone of his attack post leads me to believe he is someone who called himself fishpole on earlier flyfishing forums, including this one. He has been bou...

Re: Self Inflating PFD

Some good advice, here, Gary. The inflatable belt will keep your hips high which means your head will be more difficult to keep above water. I'm this close to pulling the trigger on the suspender style as I get older and a lot less agile on moving water. I have experienced the immediate incapacitati...

Re: Opener is a week away.

Thinking that lake might still be snowed in but you never know. I remember trips there with fondness and amazement at the size of fish that you guys caught regularly.

The New Next Normal.....

This is a bittersweet article written by someone with a finite time left on earth. It also addresses some of the issues we face as we age and find it more difficult to move in the wild places and the adaptations we use to stay active. I know that I have adopted ALWAYS wading with a staff that Mark A...
