Re: Cal Trout, TU, or FFF: Who should get my money?

I am 41 began fly fishing when I was 11 but didn't really get serious until I was 38 and that was after fly fishing in places Ireland, Scotland and Argentina. The forums, a spinal injury and change in hobby got me back here. I had been to the Pasadena Casting Club beginning in 1985 with my father. I...

Re: sunglasses w/ interchangeable lenses

you can get cheap ones maybe like $20 but if you want something that is good plan on spending $100 or more. Sport Chalet has some cheap-ez on the racks. Personally I like Ray Ban for the glass lens harder to scratch than plastic lens. I think there could be better technology in the laminated plastic...

Re: Hodgeman Wader Sale

I'm currently using the TAC model (total allowable catch) with the Riri zipper. Problem is I keep getting caught with my zipper down. Andy Just make sure you don't take a picture of that and tweet it to someone. You never know, you might be a politician some day and it will come back to haunt you. ...

Re: Furled Leaders?

certainly pros and cons. I like Orvis Braided leaders and I have enjoyed using a hand tied furled leader made by Ray Found. Tapered leaders are a thing of the past for me, a luxury, a shortcut or circumstance. For local small stream fishing I like the 9' 3-5wt Orvis braided leader. If it were availa...

Re: cheaper alternative to Aquaseal?

thanks for the tips guys here is what the issue is, the inner leg material is rubbing and wearing out. You can see some previous repair as well. It's weird the wearing is around the edge of the previous repair patch which is inside. I was thinking about making an external patch about 1" x 4&quo...

cheaper alternative to Aquaseal?

Is there anything that is cheaper and maybe more volume? Fast drying is not important just something to repair old waders.
