checking out morning sunrises on web cams and came across the start of a fire on a Bald Mtn. camera. Just a puff of smoke at 9am yesterday, 3 distinct plumes this morning. Prescribed burn? Can't find any info. Interesting to follow though..............water whipper

Notice might have been given on either Inyo or Sierra NF websites. They would be burning piles as the snow goes away and things are still moist up there.

From the Troy Meadows FB page.

Troy Meadows, Sequoia National Forest

Small fire in domeland as seen from bald mountain lookout tower. the fire is the result of a lightning strike a few days ago. Inciweb says the fire is small, less than 5 acres, and is being addressed by a 50 person hand crew. Woodpecker trail into domeland has been closed until further notice.
