Shooting Heads

Postby Baughb » May 21st, 2013, 8:01 am

Finally after so many years of fly fishing I got some shooting heads. Targeting trout, what connection is the "best" for connecting the tippet to the mono end of the head? A perfection loop? Add more butt section and nail knot it together? Just curious for suggestions.

The "mono end' sounds like a poly leader, or versi leader, and not a shooting head, but I could be wrong. For the leaders, I use a Perfection Loop, or a Non Slip Mono Loop. I change leaders a lot, so this makes it very easy.

Yep, it's a versa leader. Thanks for the tip.

I use Perfection Loops for all my attachments.
