Fly Fishing Film Tour Pasadena

Got home a short time ago from the FlyFishingFilmTour I was impressed with the short films that were part of this years show, very cool stuff.

One lucky attendee got a free Orvis fly rod courtesy of The Fisherman's Spot. I scored the only 1 cool f3t trucker hat being raffled off. Woohoo!!

Some guys scored Buffs, shirts, Patagonia jackets and vest, another guy walked away with a SOULFISH dvd by Patagonia Fly Fishing Ambassador Mikey Wier, and one guy got a voucher for some Costa Sunglasses.

The only addicts I recognized were Ken from the Spot, and Jacob from Orvis Pasadena. All in all it was a good f3t. Until the next one.

Fly Fishing Film Tour Pasadena

Man, I really wanted to go - just couldn't make it work out. Snds like I missed an awesome time!
Fish always lose by being "got in and dressed." It is best to weigh them while they are in the water. The only really large one I ever caught got away with my leader when I first struck him. He weighed ten pounds. —Charles Dudley Warner

Cool report!
Just spoke with Ken who was pleased with the turnout considering that it was mid-week plus the fact there are all of these screening opportunities this weekend ( Both IF4 and f3t ).

Nice hat Benny! I wonder why they do everything the same time? Is one trying to overwhelm the other or what? The flyfishing shows used to do the same thing rather than planning the shows in different months.

Have no clue why they would do that. The Lemmel theaters in Pasadena are really small. If I were to guess to the amount of people in the theater it would be maybe 50-60. Not sure why the price of tickets more than doubled as well for f3t from the original $10 price. F3t in Orange County is $30, that's a little to steep. They did advertise the heck out of it so let's see how it goes for them over in Tustin, it is on a weekend so they may have a good turnout.

One another good note the IF4 is still $10 woohoo! I'll be at the Long Beach show this weekend at the Art Theater 2025 E 4 Street Long Beach, CA, 90814. This is after the Fundraiser for the Southwest Council, International Federation of Fly Fishers at the Long Beach Casting Club 4901 East 7th Street Long Beach, CA 90804, this event is taking place from 9am-3pm this Saturday February 8

These events are lots of fun. If you're not fly fishing this could be the next best thing ;)
