Dear Addicts - Here's the "menu" for this weekend's annual Double Haul Ball event in Long Beach:

The event runs from 9AM to 4PM on Saturday at the Long Beach Casting Club. It is brought to you by The Southwest Council IFFF, The Wilderness Fly Fishers Club and One Surf Fly. Below is the schedule:

FLY TYING SURF PATTERNS
Throughout the day, observe some of the best local fly tiers in SoCal: Matt Abrams, Alex Cady, Mike Centofani, Paul Cronin, Kevin Green, Steve Holowell, Rich Kanner & Dave Valadez

FLY CASTING
10:00am
Beginners Corner: Jim Solomon & friends - 
Introduction to fly casting. Covered will be: the basic pickup and lay down, roll casting and false casting. Explanations of fly casting fundamentals and instruction from Master and Certified Instructors
11:00am – 12:00am
"Learn How To Teach Yourself" Michael Maloney. Learn how to teach yourself how to cast, how to read your aerialized flyline and correct common casting mistakes by Michael Maloney a nationally recognized casting instructor.
1:00pm. –2:00pm
Advanced Casting Skills and the Double Haul – John Van Derhoof & Bob Middo. Learn Advanced Casting Skills and the Double Haul.
 John and Bob are two of the best instructors around. Both are Master Certified Single and Two Handed Casting Instructors and will help you achieve more distance with less effort.
2:00pm. – 3:00pm
Surf Clinic – Gary Bulla, Al Q & Jeff Priest
 - Here is your chance to learn the intricacies of surf angling from three of the best surf anglers around the So Cal area.

FLY TALK
9:30am. – 10:30pm
Tackle Talk – Bob Middo, Al Q & friends 
learn all about the proper equipment and tools the locals use to flyfish the surf more effectively
3:00 - 4:00 pm
Surf Flyfishing Hall – hosted by Al Q
 - group Q&A panel discussion on everything related to Surf Fly Fishing you want to know about.

There will also be some great music provided by the amazing fiddler Chris Murphy at noon.
