What a difference 5 days makes

Postby midger » February 7th, 2009, 3:42 pm

Here are some shots from Monday. There were a few mayflies out and about as well as some small stones. Water temps were conducive to active fish and shorts were the order for the day.

Friend on a rock. Looks like a size 18 light cahill would do just fine:

Fast forward to today. Here's my snow gauge, and it's still snowing on the "gauge":

Aren't Southern California winters a kick?

Gotta love it and if the pattern holds we should get more next week as well.
Denny Crane: Ah. You can see them in there. Look at the crystal clear water. My fly went right by his nose. Eat it you picky *.

I think you're trying to make excuses for wimping out on fishing today. Go for it! What's a little snow? Thanks for the pics and fishing/snow report. That picture of the snow gauge is one of the prettiest pictures we've seen on here in a while! Jon

And the trout, in Unison, Say "Thank You".

Thanks for the report.
Fishing is the most wonderful thing I do in my life, barring some equally delightful unmentionables.
