Small Backpacking upgrade!

Postby John Harper » December 22nd, 2016, 1:06 pm

Found a place to custom make a stuff sack for my Klymit V-Lite Insulated sleeping pad. I previously used my old Thermarest rolled up and attached my flyrod to it for protection. The Klymit pad was designed for a small sack, so I've improvised the last couple years using the Thermarest stuff sack, although it was woefully short of the 28" deflated width of the Klymit.

I contacted SimplyLightDesigns.com and ordered a custom 6" x 30" sack with attachment loops. $12 delivered, what a deal!!!

Here's a shot of my new sack ready to go. I also have enough room to put the rod inside with the pad, which I may do for added simplicity.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all you Addicts! See you at the Cottonwood Lakes! I've been walking 4 miles a day since November 1st, so I'm gonna be primed to go this season.
