Such a neat video. I remember watching this video for the first time several years ago, and instantly wanting to give Rush creek a shot. I had two very frustrating days, where I could tell there were plenty of fish around, but they all had lock-jaw.

It's a really interesting place. I would love to see it all get fully restored.

Four of us fished down low on Rush during the 2012 Volcano Party, me, Tom Sakai, Rob and Mark. It was a brushy * down there. Looks like Photobucket is allowing the old pics to be seen again?

I find the image of angling near the mouth very interesting and a reminder - For years I thought of hitting this spot on rumors of browns darting into the lake (Mono) for shrimp and fly larvae. Talk about a curious scenario ...

I always wondered the same thing but I found that the creek forms an alluvial plain at the end with the channels being less than 6” in depth. At least that’s how it was the couple of times I ventured down.

Yeah - The topography definitely says "Not really a likely area for killer habitat" ... I'll bet some of the most interesting stuff is long lost under Grant Lake.....
