I've caught them in Lake Pyramid(the one along I-5 south of Bakersfield), the Calf Aqueduct and Lake Silverwood. Haven't lucked into one in the surf yet and I've always wondered where the ones caught infrequently on SD area beaches come from. Do they migrate down from their Bay Area home or do they have a home somewhere in Southern Calif?
Richard: Quite a few years ago, maybe 20, maybe more, fish and game stocked stripers in San Diego bay if memory serves me. I think they had originally thought there could be a self sustaining population.
Interesting article Bernard.
