Book on local fishing

Postby Bernard » December 4th, 2020, 4:07 pm

Every now and then a book or an article pops up that many So Cal anglers can truly appreciate. I truly feel that Al Q's "Corbina Diaries" is such a gem. I mean, heck, it is written by a So Cal angler. The last time I had so much fun geeking out on a fly fishing book was when I ordered a super specific book about Searun Cutthroat. Anyhow - I encourage all to consider indulging in this purchase: http://bit.ly/thecorbinadiaries. It really covers the game well, with a little wit and you'll see familiar faces within its pages.

Looks like a good read, I'll pick one up. Thanks for the recommendation.

Not much after I made this post than did I go for a walk out onto the S. Monica pier and spot a corbina in the shallows ... See: https://www.instagram.com/p/CImASO4BjDb/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link.

Pretty nice shot of the fish Bernard.
Surprised that tackle place is still open with the current restrictions.

River King - yeah, I see people still fishing now and then off of the pier. Didn't know about the shop. Since all the usual attractions are closed, it stays quiet around here. Gary - Thanks!
