Olympus Customer Service

Postby anacrime » August 28th, 2008, 4:00 pm

Just wanted to post a report on Olympus' customer service.

I've had my Stylus 790SW for nearly a year (received Sept 17, 07). Recently the USB cover developed a leak and was letting water in. I got salt water in it an the picture went black for a few hours before recovering back to full working condition. Dropped it off at Olympus in Cypress and it was ready for pick up in less than a week. They replaced the entire front of the camera and the seals. The only thing that isn't new is the LCD on back, where I had an invisible shield ( http://www.zagg.com/ ) in place (perhaps why they didn't just replace the whole thing). Still covered under warranty and they were super friendly and speedy. Just thought I'd pass it on.

Great to see a company that backs it's products!

I bet it won't be a hard choice for your next camera!

Now put that thing on a zinger! :?
