Non fly fishing help

Postby fflutterffly » April 22nd, 2009, 7:02 am

Once again I don't know where to post this, but I know everyone reads the General Fly fishing threads first

I have found two floppy disc with some of my short stories, I think, and have no way of transposing them. Might someone be able to help me out? . One is on a Verbatim DataLife MF 2HD IBM format and the other is a mystery. These are first drafts I believe, which have never been edited (worked), sort of quick treatments.

Thanks

3.5" (old style) or 5.25" (really old style)?

Any idea on the word processing program used to create the files?

Microsoft word will be able to open pretty much any legacy format. If you would like some help, you can email me the files, and I will try to turn them into a usable format. rayfound AT gmail dot com.

If your problem is just getting them off the floppy disks, I think your going to need to get a USB floppy drive for your computer. They run about $20, prob. cheaper on ebay or something.

The Verbatim 2MB brand was a common 3.5" disk.
Fishing is the most wonderful thing I do in my life, barring some equally delightful unmentionables.

I must be strange; I always read the 'off topic' section first.
