Bishop is not the only place with fires.

For topics that don't seem to have a home elsewhere.

Bishop is not the only place with fires.

I got this sent to me in an email.

Information Brief:

The lightning storm that passed through the Kern Plateau
over the past couple of days has resulted in five new
fires. We are presently taking suppression action on each
of these fires. Three of the five fires are on National
Forest lands and two are on Bureau of Land Management
lands. Allthe fires are small in size.

On the Sequoia National Forest, the "Church" fire is east
of Taylor Meadow, the "Taylor" fire is southeast of
Rattlesnake Meadow, and the "Fish" fire is at the south end
of the South Sierra Wilderness. On Bureau of Land
Management jurisdiction is the "Deer" fire, near Deer
Springs southeast of Kennedy Meadows; and the "Dome" fire,
located north of the BLM Southfork Station, in the Domeland
Wilderness area.

Suppression action is being taken by both ground and air
resources.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions,
