Oh wow

I was just looking at the web site below to how things are going around here and noticed the Forks Fire.

I was fishing with Stanbery and Tyingfool and Rockstar yesterday as part of a three day extravaganza on the Eastern Sierra and got a phone call assigning me to the Forks Fire with my old fire management team while we were fishing on the O. Drove all the way home and back up here for 0600 briefing. Had some incredible potential to do some real damage but I think the bullet was dodged. I spent today driving for eight hours up and down Bishop Creek and checking for hikers who had come out of the back country. I also explored every lake and miles of an incredible drainage. Will be up here for another week assigned to the fire and then will post of our adventure. Plan on fishing a bit when I get released.

Be careful out there. Everything is burning incredibly well.

Bishop Creek is wide open. The fire was put to bed last Friday. There are no restrictions in the area except the actual fire area itself.

It is very fishable at that flow rate.
