New to Addict forum

Just wanted to say hi and let ya'll know me. I recognized a lot of names from another forum so I thought I had better sign up so that I could Kabitz with everyone. I'm an old retired persueor of piscatorial pleasure from Bakersfield, been fly fishing for 39 years and still learning every day.
Used to fish the southern sierra backcountry when I was younger but pretty much stick to roadside now.
Been a member of Kern River Fly Fishers since 1970 and So. Sierra Fly Fishers since '05. Been working on the conservation work on the Kern since 1984, I don't chair that anymore but still stay involved.
Interests include fly tying, rod building, and recently getting into chasing stripers.

Unfortunately, no, they aren't tying. On the other hand, I have been quite negligent lately. In fact, I cleaned up my tying area a couple of days ago and spent most of time puzzling over various bits of junk saying to myself "What the * is this?" Back at it soon, I hope. As for the drinking, you can just say what my good old Mom used to say, "The sun is always over the yardarm somewhere." (of course, since she was from Boston that would come out as "...ovah the yahd ahm"
