Orange Alert

This article in the Fresno Bee reminds me of why I started fishing using an orange beanie in fall.
Granted, putting my trust in weekend warrior deer hunters with high-powered firearms isn't my cup of tea, it'd probably be even stupider not to go "orange". I guess this post is just a little public service message.

Yup, that time of year around here. Pretty rare to hear a rifle shot on actual game, but not so rare to hear shooting. The worst is after hour, after beers shooting(usually pistols) around the camps.

That's good advice! On more then one occasion, while fishing the EW, we have had bullets whizzing by. I wear an bright hat this time of year, and forget the attempt to blend in with earth tones (can you say chum). Wear your bright shirts, and be safe!

Bob, leave your antler hat at home.
Set the hook!
