Ok, so Friday October 9th on our way up to Oregon my Dad wants to take a detour through Fall River Mills to play golf and look at some property. This gives me a window of opportunity to fish for up to 6 hours so where should I go and any tips on the following places for this time of year??
-BAUM LAKE with a float tube, either from the hatchery or from it's dam above Hat No.2.
-BURNEY CREEK in the state park.
-PIT RIVER: Is there any good fishing above or below Pit No. 1 or arond Fall River Mills???? How is Pit No.3 this time of year, I have fished there before in the middle of August and it was nice.
-Horr Pond or Big Lake, I know very little of these 2 waters.
Hat Creek (No.2) is out of the question because I hate that over rated creek, as is Fall River because I do not have a raft or pram of some sort, and for my time limit the Mcloud is also out of the question.
Any help would be GREAT and PMs are more than welcome. I'm leaning towards Baum Lake because it's the only water I somewhat knew how to fish 7 years ago as a beginner fly fisherman, and would like a nice big brown now that I know how to fish lakes 100 times better than back then.
Thanks, Mike
