Anybody have input on the reels? I need a reel to get me started on my 7wt for salt figured this would be a good way to grab one for at least now.

That GPX reel looks alright for the Saltwater... Not an over-sized, lightweight freshwater reel that they decided to offer as a saltwater reel... Really light is fine for trout, but I've seen first hand what a Over-sized Trout reel does in the Ocean.. Blam-O!!!! not pretty and the Fish of a life time is Gone...

You should be Fine with that Reel in a 7wt....
