Sweet blog, Dean. Sorry to hear about the creek though! :fireangry:
How do you tie the fly to your hooks without killing them with the thread? I keep cutting them in half.

I read every word and loved what you had to say Dean. Your story about Dry Creek was great and very touching. I too wonder how it will fair through the winter if we get anything that resembles a rainy season. Our small streams here in SC could use it but on the other hand, Dry Creek would be better off with just enough to keep the fish in water.

The piece about Dry Creek felt good to get that out of my system.. thought I was very sad as I wrote it..

Thanks For the Kind Words Everyone... I'll certainly bust my * to keep the caliber at that level... ;)

Very nice Dean! Your Dry Creek story was nice, and I also hope they catch and punish whomever set the fire, however, the damage is done and no amount of punishment will overturn it. Still, drawing and quartering them would make me feel better.

As to your comment of having other interests besides flyfishing--is that really necessary? ;)

I like it, Dean! Keep up the Good Work.

I, too, shall miss the Creek and its small bows, so accessible and unlikely located.

I hope we're wrong, though, and they're not gone.

Dean, Dry Creek will survive. No doubt it will take a few years for the population to rebound, but it will survive, of that, I have little doubt. Never underestimate the determination of Nature to survive and overcome.
Fishing is the most wonderful thing I do in my life, barring some equally delightful unmentionables.
