....and unfortunately, this extremely inflated price is a major cause for the tunas declining population. What little i've read, I see the words "endangered", and "extinction" written about them.

Read the book Tuna: A Love Story... It's got some good data and information in there. The weights of tuna killed a year is measured in hundreds of thousands of TONS... and also, other interesting things like several thousand dolphins are killed by "dolphin safe" fishing every year... but it's okay, because we're doing our part to shut down sportfishing. You know, the couple hundred large tuna we catch a year - that's where the real problem is...
