Where to go

Postby Sasha » September 25th, 2008, 9:04 pm

Well I hate to ask this but I will anyways. My wife gave me the green light to bring my fly rod on our trip to CA tomorrow. The only day I will be able to fish is tomorrow (we land at LAX at 0900 PDT). Now comes the question. My mother-in-law lives in Santa Clarita which is very close to FF. Should I just go there or is there someplace else I should go to. I will only be able to sneak away for a little bit so I wouldn’t be able to go to the Kern or any places in the Sierras (If I could do that I wouldn't have started the thread ;) ).

Thanks.

Sasha the ff would be your best bet. Don't forget the bug spray. those black flys on that water will kill you. Sure wish I could join you but work calls.
Good luck

Sweet that is what I thought.......Thanks.

I guess I will need to pick up one of those adventure pass things as well as my CA license. One other reason I like Idaho better no pass needed to use the wilderness areas ;)

I just read this, but if you have a lap top and you read this head up to Urip Creek. That will be the your best bet...

I thought ff was code for that little creek that is right next to runway R345N? Sheesh, shows what I know about LA stuff.

Or we could start using Bullseye for creek codes. Such as I went to the creek at Bullseye 070 for 20 yesterday
