it's so bad

Postby Eric » January 28th, 2010, 2:17 pm

My 93 year old uncle sent this to me today. Thought you guys might enjoy it.

The economy is so bad that:

I got a pre-declined credit card in the mail.

I ordered a burger at McDonald's and the kid behind the counter asked, "Can you afford fries with that?"

CEO's are now playing miniature golf.

If the bank returns your check marked "Insufficient Funds," you call them and ask if they meant you or them.

Hot Wheels and Matchbox stocks are trading higher than GM.

McDonald's is selling the 1/4 ouncer.

Parents in Beverly Hills fired their nannies and learned their children's names.

A truckload of Americans was caught sneaking into Mexico .

<oops!> Cheney took his stockbroker hunting.

Motel Six won't leave the light on anymore.

The Mafia is laying off judges.

Exxon-Mobil laid off 25 Congressmen.

And, finally...

I was so depressed last night thinking about the economy, wars, jobs, my savings, Social Security, retirement funds, etc.,
I called the Suicide Lifeline. I got a call center in Pakistan , and when I told them I was suicidal, they got all excited, and asked if I could drive a truck
.

Eric,
So can you? Drive a truck, that is.

Very funny, and unfortunately getting too near the truth.

Funny Eric. That's a great email so I sent to some family and friends I know would get a laugh out of it.

Sorry to hear about your truck engine. Have you had it replaced or are you going to buy a new truck? Your truck is in great condition even with all the driving you do so I would guess a new engine would be a better deal. Man that sucks.

We were going to work on Tuesday and heard a really loud bang on the side of the Prius, like a rock hitting the front window, but LOUD. We didn't think anything happened until I shut the hatch that night heading home from work the the rear driver side window shattered. The window tint was the only thing that kept the window from falling out. $400+ later we have the car back. Not a blown engine though.

This is when you know for sure the gov't has hit rock bottom like a drug addict. When they start losing everyone around them LOL.

Sucks about your truck. I'd have a much nicer savings if I hadn't had to replace the * solenoids on my truck right before Christmas....
