Great Piece on the Spot! It's one of my favorite shops.

Mr. Barker,
I believe I actually was there the same day as this photoshoot (Either that or Steve and Ken need to broaden their wardrobe :D ) I assume you were there yesterday (Sat 20th)? I can never leave that place with just what I came for and I never leave feeling fulfilled with what I got! Too much good stuff

I agree, one of the best fly shops in the country. The inventory is awesome but it's the friendly courteous way they treat customers, and visitors, that I like most…

Wow, Tim! You humble us with this fine article. It is guys like you (and the other fine folk posting here) who make it a pleasure to work in the fly fishing business. Thanks for all of your support over the years. We'll try to keep getting better and having the right stuff for all you guys and gals.
In June the Spot will have been in business for 40 years and we are planning a to celebrate with all of our friends. We'll let you know when we get the plans finalized.

Holy crap! So my childhood memory is legit! I remember going into the Spot when it was a general tackle shop. I bought this little yellowtail lapel pin. I could never figure out where that place went...

Awesomness. Glad you guys are there. I don't know what I would do otherwise. You should open a second location on the south side of the hill :D
