was in my back yard!! With WF, EF, Perris Lake (too windy),and surf (bad tides) fishing bad this weekend this is as close to a fish as I was going to get.

I'm jonesn' for the salt! but no way can I cast 90' So let me know when the come in a bit, yea

Nice goldens. I'll bet they'd rise to a dough ball fly.

Justin, you might be surprised... When I first got my TFO Finesse 3-wt, I yard cast it and found that my very best casts were about 60 feet with that (mind you, I don't believe I had a leader on, so that might change the equation some).

I feel like with my one time casting the 8wt, it was certainly the furthest I have cast any rod (with shoulder pain the day after to show for it), so probably in the 60-70 foot range... and you were clearly shooting more line than I was, so I'll bet that your fly was traveling close to 90'....

Now John on the other hand... well, that guy can Shoot!
Fishing is the most wonderful thing I do in my life, barring some equally delightful unmentionables.
