Catfishing :)

Postby tree catcher » June 22nd, 2010, 4:29 pm

Been too long since I have swung a fly rod. Well that and my kid has kicked my rear end in Halo, score was 50 of my deaths to one his. For some reason I never lived long enough or the rugrat teenager wouldnt hold still. So I decide to grab the fly rod and head into the girlfriends back yard and do some casting. I tie on a piece of yarn and guess who gets interested in playing :bananadance:

Yup I had fun for a few minutes and the kid got to toss the yarn. Does anyone know the limit on cats. Barbless pieces of yarn, no hook for all of you cat lovers.

If I get lucky I can bend the knee maybe 25 degrees. I am trying to heal but the knee isnt
co-operating. I have just set the brace for the knee to bend up to 30 degrees. Hoping to bend it almost 90 degrees by the end of July. Broken Knee caps suck!!!!

But I did manage to make it to your local creek a few weeks ago...Dam crutches wont cross the little creek so I was stuck below the cabin. Did manage to take the GF out there and take some decent pics for the club store, I hope. She even let me fish... for only 5 minutes. She had to work that afternoon.

What species is that, and what weight rod and tippet would you recommend?

Hope you heal well and quickly.
