Place to stay in Mammoth?

Postby phelps bros » October 14th, 2010, 11:00 am

My brother and I are going to head up to the eastside for a couple of days on the 4-7 of November. I was wondering if anybody had found a good place to stay that is like the Elms that‘s up in Mammoth. I would like to fish the rivers that are close to this area and try to save from driving down to bishop. My brother has a friend whose parents have a cabin in June but he can’t make the trip so we are trying to put something together. Thanks. Jeff

A couple of months ago we got a good deal at the Motel 6 in Mommoth, I think it was $86. It was an on-line only pre-register offer they were having. It's been a while and Mammoth is going into peak season now but but you might get lucky.

I'm on a list somewhere and get offers all the time from this site, you might look around here. Put in the timeframe you are looking for and see what comes up. It will list what they have available starting with the cheapest.

The Quality or Comfort Inn on Main has decent rates, continental breakfast and a big jacuzzi. It's close to Johns Pizza (beers) and close to just about everything else.

I've stayed there about 20 times in the last 10 years

Snow Creek resorts will let you have one night free if you stay three. Three of us used a 1 bedroom with a loft and made out well. Condos are furnished with all the cookware needed. SAfeway across the street. Much nicer accommodations than the "6", althought their on-line rates ought to be dropping to their cusp price of $59 + tax

I you want something cheap but adequate, try the Holiday Haus. I think cabin 14 is a kitchenette as I recall, new building has conventional motel rooms.
