That's awesome. I'd be more than happy to make the counters for anyone who chips in. Send me a PM with the magic number and consider it done.

By the way, the only "tens" I've dropped lately are for walkin'. Hope to get back in the game soon. Take care.

You need to get busy!! You are at 31 right now which is just AWESOME.

One More Time...The Fund Raising is Closed

Postby Wildman » September 20th, 2011, 3:15 pm

Thank You-Fund Raising Now Closed
Wow....who would imagine that we have collectively raised four figures in such a short time? Jon will post the final list and tally but once again, the flyfishing addicts have shown their caring, generosity and willing gave. The final tally will astound you. The "raffle" prizes will be gathered and the drawing take place this Friday in Stanbery's garage. We are giving the Casting For the Cure custom rod that Ptflashback donated to the Southern CA Chapter of Casting for the Cure auction to help them raise money and Jon will make the winner of the rod a custom build. There's more, too: Two waterproof fly boxes and a Cliff's Bugger Barn. Plus all participants will receive one of PTflashback's very cool Ranger fish counters.

Thank you all again. You reinforce my belief that we have some of the most generous and kindhearted folks around right here amongst us.

Look for the final tally of what we raised....where the money is going and the listing of "raffle" prizes that we will distribute.

So what did all this buy us? We are donating 4 portable DVD players along with some DVD's (DVD's that make people smile or laugh) to the treatment center where Sherry Setina takes her treatments. We are sending Sherry her own portable DVD player. We have sent DVD's of your photographs cut to music to all three families. We have sent checks to the Danials, McBrides and Setinas to use as they see fit. We are hoping they all will do something special that might not have been possible otherwise(like a special night out or a family outing)...no strings attached. We are sending the "Casting For Recovery" rod donated by PTFlashback to the Southern CA Chapter for their first fundraiser. Stanbery will make a rod for the drawing winner of the "One More Time" fundraiser.

As promised, we had a small raffle for those contributing. Here are the results

In addition, each person donating will receive a PTFlashback Ranger Fish Counter.

You are a kind and generous group that thinks of others. Your generosity and willingness to make a difference humbles me. Thank you again.

Thanks for coordinating Jim.
